Mr. Souhail Abi Farrage reports:

CGW through its wholly owned subsidiary, GoldWeb Technologies, has successfully installed and tested its networks in Pleasant Grove, Utah, and Vancouver, B.C.

This information technology is a last mile high-speed high-bandwidth wireless solution that makes it possible for subscribers to transport their data at speeds that enable numerous residential and commercial applications never before possible. The wireless subscriber enjoys the convenience of mobility at a higher data transport speed for a price comparable with existing cable and TelCo solutions.

Further, the next-generation of net appliances will deliver functionality to the subscriber that will drive the demand for this kind of wireless service. Communication with subscribers through this proven wireless licence-free, frequency hopping, spread-spectrum technology enables the delivery of Internet and other high-speed data dependent applications. The wireless networks operate in the licence-free 2.4 gigahertz band.

This FCC and ETSI certified solution provides direct high-speed wireless access to the Internet and intranet. Internet service providers and major long haul fibre optic carriers can now use wireless distribution to rapidly and cost-effectively deploy local loop or last mile connectivity.

In Vancouver on the World Trade Centre, GoldWeb has already proven this type of optical network connectivity.

Wireless network advantages:
Reduced cost Wireless Internet access greatly reduces cost by bypassing the utilities to provide direct access. The monthly cost is in line with the costs for ADSL, cable modem and T-1 access, with greater bandwidth and the convenience of wireless operation.

Installation time:
Access hookup can be achieved in less than one week. Compare this with ISDN, DSL and T-1 hookup time of usually four to six weeks. Twenty-four hour access The company's wireless connection works around the clock. You do not have to dial, redial, or connect, or shut off, or hang up. It also does not tie up other phone lines.

Access speed:
It is faster than cable access or T-1 accesses in both directions. The company's wireless network is currently running at speeds between 11-100 Mbp/s.

Easier to upgrade:
Wireless technology does not rely on a wiring system with many potential points of failure. What everybody loves is the speed at which the Web pages load.

Reliability:
This equipment is very reliable and will not be affected like terrestrial hard line communications networks. This wireless networking equipment was developed and used as a low power, high-security, high-frequency system for military communications networks, and commercialized for use by many high-tech firms, medical facilities and government research organizations.

Compatibility Support:
All major networking protocols, including Novli NetWare, Windows NT, Windows 95, Unix, Apple Talk and TCP/IP, making it ideal for mixed protocol wide area networks (WANS).

Security and safety:
This spread spectrum intelligent frequency hopping 2.4 Ghz signalling technology changes channels dozens of times a second in a random order. It is much more secure than wire-based communications systems. The Israeli Military uses a similar system for its field operations.

The nature of FHSS makes it very difficult to intercept. The frequency range is so safe that hospitals are one of the largest users of 2.4 Ghz wireless LANS.

GoldWeb is aggressively pursuing other wireless networking opportunities both domestically and internationally. Future generations of wireless Internet networking (WIN) solutions are under design for delivery of even higher data rates, expanded applications and additional frequency coverage.
